About This Role The Registered Nurse in the PACU/ASU/PAT unit is responsible for delivering patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role is ideal for nurses who are committed to maintaining high standards of professional nursing and patient safety. Highlights Pay: $39 to $54.12 Location: Cortland, NY Facility: Guthrie Schedule: Full-time What You'll Do Perform patient assessments and document accurately per nursing policy. Monitor patients' vital signs and recognize changes in condition. Administer medications, IV fluids, and blood products safely. Educate patients and families on disease state, care, and treatment. Contribute to or initiate discharge planning upon admission. Assist providers with procedures and treatments as per policy. Utilize hospital equipment safely and effectively. Document patient care activities in real-time according to policy. Participate in infection control procedures and protocols. Engage in professional nursing promotion and quality improvement activities. Requirements Education Entry level-graduate per education requirements. Experience At least 1 year of medical-surgical nursing preferred (i.e. ICU, Maternity, Psych). Licenses & Certifications Current NYS license to perform as a registered professional nurse. Current BLS-CPR certification required (or within first 30 days of employment). Neonatal Resuscitation Certification within 6 months of employment (for Maternity).
