Police Officer
The Town of Queen Creek is seeking candidates for the position of Police Officer. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with a salary range of $76,940.86 to $109,368.48 annually. The primary work location is a combination of office, vehicle, and field.
The job posting will run continuously until filled, with the first review of applications scheduled for October 2026. Applications will be reviewed on a monthly basis thereafter. The job may close at any time without notice after the first review date in October.
Officers will receive pay rates commensurate with years of sworn service, ranging from $37.36/hour for less than 1 year of service to $52.58/hour for 7+ years of service. Additional compensation includes hiring bonuses, education bonuses, moving expenses, paid vacation and sick time, travel reimbursement, specialty assignment pay, shift differential pay, overtime, callout, stand-by, and other premium pay.

Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED and complete a law enforcement academy or an AZPOST-certified program within the past three years. Valid Arizona Driver's License and certification as an Arizona Police Officer within three months of hire are required. The position is safety-sensitive and requires passing a background investigation, polygraph exam, psychological examination, and physical agility test.
The essential duties of this role include monitoring radio communications, responding to calls-for-service and emergencies, assisting other officers and department personnel, investigating crimes and accidents, administering first aid, securing crime scenes, conducting investigations, enforcing laws and maintaining safety and security, patrolling designated areas, conducting traffic stops, preparing reports, enforcing traffic laws and codes, reviewing and preparing case documentation, providing testimony, attending meetings and training, cross-training in various law enforcement skills, maintaining integrity and professionalism, supporting public and community relations, staying informed on new laws and regulations, and maintaining compliance with all applicable laws and rules.
