Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organised Accountant to support the day-to-day financial operations of the business. The role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, preparing reports, supporting month-end and year-end activities, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and company policies. Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records. Process sales and purchase invoices, payments, receipts, and other accounting transactions. Perform bank, supplier, customer, and balance sheet reconciliations. Assist with month-end and year-end close processes. Prepare regular management accounts and financial reports. Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable. Assist with cash flow monitoring and forecasting. Support budgeting and forecasting activities. Prepare and submit VAT/tax information as required. Assist with audit requirements and provide supporting documentation. Ensure financial transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner. Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records. Maintain appropriate financial controls and documentation. Provide general financial and administrative support to the wider business as required. Skills & Experience Previous experience in an accounting role Good understanding of accounting principles and financial processes. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good numerical and analytical skills. Ability to manage deadlines and prioritise workloads. Good communication and organisational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
