Cost Accountant

Cost AccountantThe Cost Accountant is responsible for ongoing analysis of material, costs, labor costs and subcontract costs to meet the Company's cost planning and profit targets.Essential Job Responsibilities Not Limited To:1. Develops standard costs of material, labor, burdens and subcontractMaintain the cost accounting systemProvide cost estimating for new and existing productsCoordinates or presents issues to Engineering for correctionReview and report on accuracy of BOM methods, time, operations and notesPrepare inventory reportsResearch, resolve, prepare and develop journal entries2. InventoryPrepare transactions to ensure inventory accuracyPrepare, research and resolve recurring and reversing journal entriesSecondarily supportive of inventory accuracyEnsure proper inventory movement procedures are adhered toAct in an advisory role with respect to warehouse and bin locations within ERPParticipates in monthly and annual closing process including journal entry preparation for the CFO3.
