If you take pride in solving problems, maintaining quality facilities, and supporting those who have served our country, we encourage you to apply.What We OfferCompetitive wages in a scenic locationInstant direct/on-demand payFull benefits package for you and your family including:Health, Dental, and Vision InsuranceFSA for health and childcare expensesMonthly Daycare Vouchers401(k) Retirement PlanPaid Vacation & Sick TimeSupportive work environment with leadership growth opportunitiesEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssist the Maintenance Director with the daily operation of the Maintenance Department.Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on facility systems and equipment.Maintain and repair HVAC, plumbing, and other building systems.Troubleshoot and repair commercial kitchen and laundry equipment.Ensure medical equipment, including oxygen concentrators and vital signs machines, is operational and available for nursing staff.Complete general building maintenance, including wall, floor, and facility repairs.Respond to maintenance emergencies as needed.Perform additional duties as assigned by the Maintenance Director.Leadership ResponsibilitiesAssist with the supervision, coordination, and development of maintenance personnel.Provide direction to maintenance staff in the absence of the Maintenance Director.Promote a safe, productive, and team-oriented work environment.QualificationsRequired SkillsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a maintenance or facilities environment.Ability to read and interpret mechanical system manuals and blueprints.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Preferred SkillsExperience troubleshooting and repairing HVAC systems.Plumbing maintenance and repair experience.Knowledge of low-voltage control systems and equipment.Experience repairing commercial kitchen appliances, washers, and dryers.General building maintenance, including wall and floor repair.Leadership or supervisory experience.Why Join Our Award-Winning Team?At The Dalles Oregon Veterans Home, we take pride in our exceptional work environment and commitment to providing outstanding care.
