Forensic Inpatient facility is a 183-bed secure hospital, comprised of sentenced incarcerated individuals who are admitted for inpatient services from various correctional facilities and county jails pursuant to section 402 of Correction Law (CL); non-sentenced incarcerated individuals who are admitted for inpatient services from the county jail only, pursuant to section 508 of the CL; defendants who are adjudicated as not competent to proceed with trial and are remanded to the OMH pursuant to Criminal Procedure Law (CPL) 730.
