Key Responsibilities of the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Provide high-quality care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals and support staff to ensure residents' needs are met.
Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, including empathy, patience, and compassion.
Maintain accurate records of residents' health status and care provided.
Create and maintain a clean and healthy environment for residents by adhering to infection control protocols and sanitation standards.
Recognize signs and symptoms of illness in residents and promptly report them to supervisors.
Report instances of abuse, mistreatment, or neglect to appropriate authorities according to facility policies.
Show compassion and dignity when caring for dying residents, ensuring comfort and attending to their needs.
Communicate effectively with registered nurses, conveying concerns or changes in residents' conditions.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned by management.
Requirements of the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
New York Certified Nursing Assistant license (Required)
BLS Certification (Required)
Minimum 2 years of CNA experience
