Pediatric Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiologist

Location: Dodson Medical Office Building Department: Cardiology Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Standard Weekly Hours: 40 The Cook Children's Heart Center is seeking a motivated, compassionate, and collaborative Pediatric Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiologist to join our growing and nationally recognized pediatric cardiovascular program in Fort Worth, Texas. Qualified candidates must have completed an accredited Pediatric Cardiology fellowship with additional training in management of heart failure, transplant, mechanical assist devices, and be board eligible or board certified in Pediatric Cardiology. Applicants must also be eligible for medical licensure in the state of Texas. The ideal candidate will have experience in both inpatient and outpatient pediatric cardiology, all aspects of heart failure and transplant cardiology, and demonstrate a strong commitment to exceptional patient-centered care, clinical excellence, and teamwork within a multidisciplinary environment. Key Responsibilities Provide inpatient and outpatient management of pediatric patients with advanced heart failure, cardiomyopathies, mechanical circulatory support devices, pre- and post-heart transplantation. Participate in heart transplant evaluations and selection committee activities. Collaborate with cardiothoracic surgeons, intensivists, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, social workers, dietitians, and transplant coordinators. Participate in shared call coverage for heart failure and transplant services. Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and program development. Engage in teaching and mentorship of medical students, residents, and allied health professionals. Participate in clinical research, translational research, or outcomes-based research consistent with career interests. Support compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements for transplant programs.
