The Role: The Housekeeping Manager leads, directs, and inspects the daily operations of the housekeeping and laundry departments. This role ensures the highest standards of cleanliness, aesthetics, and organization throughout the entire property. Responsibilities extend beyond guest rooms to encompass all public areas, premium event spaces, and back-of-house operations. As a hands-on leader in a boutique environment, you will foster a detail-oriented culture that elevates the guest experience. Key Responsibilities: Operations Leadership: Oversee daily cleaning schedules for 93 unique guest rooms, bustling common areas, versatile event spaces, and back-of-house zones. Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous, daily inspections of completed rooms and public spaces to ensure brand standards are consistently met. Team Management: Recruit, train, schedule, discipline and mentor room attendants, housepersons, and laundry staff to build a motivated, high-performing team. Event Coordination: Partner closely with the Events and Banquet teams to ensure swift, flawless turnarounds of event spaces before, during, and after functions. Inventory & Budgeting: Manage inventories for linens, amenities, and uniforms; control departmental labor and supply costs within budget guidelines. Health & Safety: Maintain strict compliance with safety regulations, chemical handling protocols (OSHA), and sanitization standards. Qualifications: 3+ years of housekeeping supervisory or management experience in a full-service hotel or boutique hospitality environment. Proven track record managing larger environmental footprints, including dedicated event spaces and banquet facilities. Familiarity with Property Management Systems (PMS), such as RoomKeyPMS, is highly preferred. Strong leadership, organizational, and time-management skills. Exceptional eye for detail and a passion for luxury or boutique service standards. Flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and evening shifts according to business demands. Requirements: High school diploma or GED required OR equivalent experience considered Previous housekeeping experience required, supervisory experience preferred Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Working knowledge of housekeeping operations, cleaning procedures, and safety standards Ability to lead by example and work in a hands on environment Ability to collaborate effectively with other departments, especially Engineering Basic computer skills, familiarity with hotel systems and Microsoft Office is a plus Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to lift and move moderate weight Comfortably able to kneel, bend over, stoop, and reach to inspect or assist with cleaning duties. #J-18808-Ljbffr
