Senior Director, Oncology Clinical Intelligence & Evidence

Senior Director role leading clinical intelligence and real-world evidence strategy for lung and head-and-neck cancer portfolios at AstraZeneca. Responsible for setting evidence priorities, translating portfolio needs into scientific programs, and guiding multidisciplinary teams to generate decision-ready insights across development and commercialization.

Responsibilities

• Set strategic direction for clinical intelligence and RWE generation across lung and HNSCC therapeutic area
• Identify high-value evidence opportunities and translate portfolio priorities into focused research agendas
• Originate and prioritize scientific programs addressing patient selection, treatment heterogeneity, and regulatory confidence
• Lead multidisciplinary teams including strategy leads, evidence product leads, and data scientists
• Establish evidence priorities and provide scientific guidance to clinical development, regulatory, and commercial functions

Requirements

• Demonstrated leadership of cross-functional scientific or clinical strategy teams
• Deep expertise in clinical trial design, evidence generation, and real-world data methodology
• Strong understanding of oncology development, biomarker strategy, and regulatory pathways
• Ability to frame complex scientific questions and distinguish causal from predictive objectives
• Experience translating business priorities into scientific programs and evidence agendas
• Familiarity with advanced analytics, machine learning applications, or AI in clinical contexts
