Job Title : Reach Operator (Dry Department )
Shift: 5:30 AM
Pay rate: $16/hr - up to $17/hr
- Safely operate a high-reach forklift to move, stack, retrieve, and stage pallets throughout the warehouse and dock areas.
- Stack and store product in designated rack locations while maintaining proper pallet placement and stability.
- Replenish product from reserve storage locations to picking areas as needed.
- Transport pallets of product between warehouse locations, staging areas, and docks.
- Perform blind counts of incoming freight and verify product quantities as required.
- Open cases as needed to verify product, quantity, lot information, and use-by dates.
- Complete required warehouse documentation, trailer inspections, and gate passes.
- Collect damaged product and empty pallets and transport them to designated areas.
- Inspect equipment and work areas and report faulty equipment, damaged racks, product damage, or other safety hazards to the Lead/Supervisor/Manager.
- Follow all procedures and instructions for the safe operation of material-handling equipment.
- Troubleshoot routine operational issues and communicate problems to appropriate leadership.
- Promote a safe work environment through personal actions and by identifying safety concerns and cost-saving opportunities.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and organized work area at all times.
- Demonstrate a high level of responsibility, attention to detail, and accountability while operating equipment.
- Must be flexible and able to work various shifts based on business needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned. Minimal Requirements:
- Must be certified and able to operate a High Reach truck
- Ability to work independently
- Detail-oriented and team player
- Must be able to read and understand numbers and labels.
- This position requires associates to follow MHE Operations and Safe Driving practices, Safe
