About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director for the Office of Equal Employment Opportunity. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the EEO Investigations Unit, the Reasonable Accommodations Unit, and the Training Unit. This role involves direct supervision of the unit directors, as well as planning, developing, and managing EEO programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws. Key responsibilities include reviewing and implementing EEO policies, conducting root cause and trend analysis, advising leadership on EEO matters, and preparing required EEO reports. The Executive Director will also be involved in internal EEO investigations, providing policy guidance, and supporting initiatives that promote an inclusive workplace culture. Applicants for the Executive Director position must have a legal background, with admission to the New York State Bar and a minimum of four years of legal experience, including at least 18 months in a supervisory capacity. The role requires a candidate who is a member of the New York State Bar in good standing and is committed to maintaining that status. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of EEO laws and policies, excellent leadership and management skills, and the ability to foster a cooperative and inclusive work environment. Responsibilities also include mentoring staff, providing training, and ensuring the agency's compliance with EEO and related strategic initiatives.
