About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director of Human Resources and Labor Relations to provide operational leadership in all HR and labor activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing workforce strategies, employee engagement initiatives, and organizational development efforts that align with the company's mission and operational objectives. This role involves overseeing HR operations, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and ensuring compliance with all relevant employment laws and agreements. The Executive Director will also be tasked with leveraging technology, managing unit budgets, and maintaining standard operating procedures. Applicants for the Executive Director position must be current employees of the City of New York, serving in a permanent Civil Service title of Administrative Staff Analyst or Administrative Manager. The role requires a master's degree in a relevant field or a Juris Doctor degree, with a minimum of 2 years' professional experience, including 18 months in an executive, managerial, administrative, or supervisory capacity. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR and labor relations, with a proven track record in strategic planning, team management, and a deep understanding of the legal and regulatory framework governing employment.
