Position Overview
GoWork Staffing is hiring an experienced Machine Shop Technician / Manual Machinist in
Irwin, PA. This is a 1st-shift, temp-to-hire opportunity for someone with hands-on manual
machining experience who is comfortable working in a manufacturing and machine shop
environment.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate manual machining equipment
Perform machining operations according to work instructions, drawings, and
specifications
Measure and inspect completed parts for accuracy and quality
Use precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers
Make machine adjustments as necessary to maintain proper dimensions and tolerances
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
Perform basic machine maintenance and maintain a clean, organized work area
Follow all company quality and safety procedures
Work closely with production and manufacturing team members to complete jobs
efficiently
Qualifications
Previous manual machining or machine shop experience required
Experience operating manual mills, lathes, or similar machining equipment preferred
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
Familiarity with precision measuring instruments
Understanding of machining tolerances and basic shop math
Strong attention to detail and quality
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Dependable attendance and willingness to follow established safety procedures
Position Details
Pay: 28. 00–30.00/hour
Shift: 1st Shift
Status: Temp-to-Hire
Location: Irwin, PA
