About This RoleThe Registered Nurse (RN) in the PACU provides specialized care for patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures. This role is ideal for experienced nurses who excel in a fast-paced environment and are committed to delivering high-quality patient care. Highlights Location: New Hyde Park, NY Facility: Northwell Health Schedule: Full-Time, Night shift Pay: Salary range and/or hourly rate based on experience What You'll Do Conduct patient interviews and assess health status across multiple systems. Develop individualized patient goals and coordinate care activities. Maintain constant vigilance over patient care and ensure safety precautions. Administer prescribed treatments and medications accurately and safely. Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families. Collaborate with physicians and care team members on treatment plans. Document patient treatment, activity, and condition accurately. Evaluate the effectiveness of care provided and implement improvements. Assist physicians during treatments and diagnostic procedures. Perform related duties as required. Requirements Education: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred. Experience: 2+ years of ICU or PACU experience strongly preferred. Licenses & Certifications: Current License to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required. Licenses & Certifications: Specialized certifications as needed.
