Desktop Support Technician

Fort Worth 3737 Sep 15, 2026 Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Desktop Support Technician to provide hands‑on technical support for end users, desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and related IT equipment. This position is responsible for diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, installing and configuring equipment, and delivering responsive, professional support to customers. The ideal candidate has strong desktop support experience, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a customer‑first mindset. This role requires the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with technical teams and end users. Key Responsibilities Desktop & End‑User Support Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues affecting PCs, laptops, and mobile devices. Install, configure, troubleshoot, and repair desktop and laptop hardware. Install and support approved operating systems and software applications. Perform PC imaging and re‑imaging as required. Install, configure, and troubleshoot local and network printers. Provide basic technical guidance and training to end users. Technical Support & Troubleshooting Troubleshoot Windows‑based desktop environments using approved processes and procedures. Provide basic troubleshooting support for networking and Windows‑based server‑related issues. Identify, document, and elevate technical issues when appropriate. Work with internal technical teams to resolve more complex incidents and service requests. Respond to end‑user issues in a professional and timely manner. Create, update, and maintain accurate documentation within the ticketing system. Maintain accountability for assigned tickets, including ticket aging and timely resolution. Complete required internal and client documentation on a daily basis. Communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non‑technical users. Maintain a positive, proactive, and customer‑focused approach. Required Qualifications 2–3+ years of professional desktop support experience. 2–3+ years of experience supporting PC and laptop hardware. Experience supporting Windows 10 environments and PC re‑imaging. Intermediate knowledge of PC desktop troubleshooting and support. Intermediate knowledge of local and network printer support. Basic understanding of networking concepts and Windows‑based servers. Experience working with a ticketing or service management system. CompTIA A+ Certification. Preferred Qualifications The following certifications and experience are preferred but not required: ITIL v3 Certification. CompTIA Network+ or Server+ Certification. Microsoft MCP, MCSA, or MCSE Certification. Dell Hardware Certification. HP Hardware Certification. IBM/Lenovo Hardware Certification. Associate Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical users. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple support requests. Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Dependable, professional, and proactive approach to customer support. Additional Requirements Valid driver’s license. Dependable transportation. Ability to work nights and weekends when required.
