Diesel Mechanic Assistant

Overview Performs all non-safety critical functions of school bus repair, assists mechanics as necessary. Schedule and Pay Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 hours first shift Pay rate: $20/hr Major Responsibilities Perform servicing tasks and cleaning of filters Replace bulbs Lubricate equipment Remove wheels and tires Change fluids in buses Perform any other maintenance tasks as assigned by supervisor Repair floors, seat backs, and coverings Replace mirrors and some exterior panels Add and remove decals Minimum Education Or Certifications Required High School degree or equivalent Minimum Experience Or Skills Required Must be 18 years of age or older Possess a small set of hand tools, increasing as training progresses Ability to learn and perfect maintenance skills Physical Requirements And Working Conditions Maintenance shop environment Physical ability to work in the trade Ability to lift up to 65 pounds Disclaimers and Equal Employment Opportunity Nothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.
