Location: Woonsocket, RI (Hybrid)
Schedule: Monday–Thursday | 8:30 AM–4:30 PM or 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
Employment Type: Contract (potential to go through Sept 2026)

Position Overview

Our client is seeking an Accounting Specialist to support daily accounting operations during an exciting ERP system implementation. This is a hands-on opportunity for a well-rounded accounting professional with experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and month-end close who enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Reporting to the Senior Accounting Manager, you'll assist with both day-to-day accounting functions and the transition from QuickBooks Online to NetSuite.

Key Responsibilities

• Process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions.
• Support month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Assist with the Accounts Payable close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Enter and maintain AP and AR invoices within the accounting system.
• Support ERP implementation efforts by reviewing, cleansing, and migrating accounting data.
• Verify data accuracy and assist with system testing during the QuickBooks Online to NetSuite transition.
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies as needed.
• Collaborate with the accounting team to support ongoing financial operations and special projects.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting experience.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online (required).
• Experience with:
• • Accounts Payable
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Month-end close
  • Journal entries
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with NetSuite.
• Tax filing experience.
• Previous ERP implementation or system migration experience.
