Business Immigration Supervisor

About the Role Fragomen’s Business Immigration Supervisor will provide a high‑impact role focused on leading the business immigration team, ensuring accurate and timely case handling, and strengthening client relationships. The position offers training, development, and long‑term growth opportunities within a technology‑driven, client‑centric organization. Responsibilities Serve as supervisor to junior business immigration caseworkers, providing mentoring, coaching, and performance management. Train new employees and oversee direct or indirect supervision of staff. Demonstrate excellence in managing complex cases, prioritizing workload, and ensuring the team’s output is accurate and timely. Provide direction to the team using extensive knowledge of business immigration case matters. Act as liaison between the immigration consulting team and the Client Services Manager and/or Associates. Maintain strong client relationships, participate in client meetings and business reviews, and assist in delivering the team’s work. Proactively address client escalations, lead high‑touch calls, and produce accurate client reporting. Perform case‑related duties requiring specialized knowledge in employment‑based immigration matters: intake, troubleshooting, strategy, document analysis, and filing with the appropriate government agency. Draft petitions, applications, and specialized support letters detailing visa eligibility and other immigration benefits. Communicate regularly with clients and foreign nationals regarding procedural and case‑processing issues. Review and approve client billing, conduct billing and WIP audits, and oversee case status via case‑management and billing systems. Be fluent with case‑management and reporting tools and technologies used to manage data and information. Collaborate with local and regional teams to ensure best practices and share knowledge. Ensure compliance with firm standards, policy, data privacy, client protocols, and regulatory requirements to mitigate risk. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree, Associate’s degree, or Paralegal certification preferred. At least 7 years of business immigration (paralegal) experience. Supervisory or managerial experience. Strong knowledge of procedural requirements for non‑immigrant and immigrant visas and client processes. Client‑service mindset, attention to detail, and a desire to achieve high productivity. Experience using various computer systems, including Microsoft Excel. Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment with competing demands. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proofreading and drafting fluent prose. Ability to contribute to a positive work environment, collaborate effectively, and promote teamwork. Benefits 22 PTO days + Federal holidays. Compensation The salary range for this role reflects a variety of factors considered in compensation decisions, including skills, experience, qualifications, work location, work arrangement, licensure, and certifications. Placement within the range will vary based on these factors, and compensation decisions are made to ensure internal equity and alignment with market data. For individuals working a hybrid schedule locally, the current salary range is $96,000.00 – $114,000.00. Additional benefits include access to the 401K and paid time‑off plans.
