People Operations Coordinator

Gator Bio, the leading developer and manufacturer of Next Generation Bio‑Layer Interferometry (BLI) biosensor technology and services utilized by life science researchers within biopharma, drug discovery, pharmaceuticals and biotherapeutics. Headquartered in Palo Alto, CA, we provide BLI label‑free solutions involving instrumentation, software, and consumables utilized for measuring real‑time biomolecular interactions. General applications include quantitation, kinetic analysis, and epitope binning. Our mission is to simplify and accelerate biological analysis for biotherapeutic research and development. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Schedule and coordinate interviews with candidates; conduct the initial HR phone screen. Build candidate profiles and interview pipelines with hiring managers. Collaborate with external recruiters; actively and passively recruit potential candidates. Maintain and update HRIS and ATS. Manage employee personnel records, documentation, and information. Process documentation for new hires, terminations, promotions, benefits, policies, employee signatures, etc. Conduct audits for compliance, payroll, benefits, and attrition. Conduct HR onboarding training for new hires and prepare documentation for offboarding. Facilitate bi‑annual performance review cycles. Administer regular employee engagement surveys and collect pulse data through new‑hire surveys and exit interviews. Improve company retention. Assign mandatory training for staff; coordinate annual safety trainings and new‑hire trainings. Assist with leave of absence documentation for FMLA, PDL, CFRA, etc. Revise and update company policies and the HR handbook. Coordinate with external legal counsel regarding employment law and immigration assignments. Perform any additional duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business management, or a similar field. 1–2 years’ experience in HR and/or recruiting. Experience with BambooHR and Lever is a plus. High level of integrity, confidentiality, flexibility, and action orientation. High attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and ability to multitask. Good judgment skills with the ability to analyze and revise operating practices to improve efficiency. Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook calendar management.
