Urgent Care Physician Assistant

Locums - Morgantown, West Virginia - NP/PA Urgent Care Job Clinical Role:

- Locum tenens opportunity
- Seeking a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with Urgent Care experience
- Start date: November 2026
- Minimum of 2 years of urgent care experience or 1 year of emergency medicine experience required
- Must be comfortable treating patients of all ages, including pediatrics (6 months and older)
- Must be comfortable with orthopedic procedures, including splinting, and wound care
- Schedule: Monday-Sunday, 8:00a-8:00p
- Provider will travel between Morgantown, Clarksburg, and Elkins (sites are within approximately 30 miles of one another)
- Must be comfortable practicing independently (no onsite supervision)
- Average patient volume: 3-4 patients per hour
- Typical urgent care cases include:
- Cold and flu symptoms
- Rashes
- Abrasions and lacerations
- Sprains
- Minor burns
- Splinting
- X-rays and EKGs
- Drawing blood and IVs
- Incision and drainage procedures
- Higher-acuity patients are referred to the local emergency department
- Medical assistants and radiology technologists onsite
- Sites staffed by 1-3 providers daily
- Remote physician available for consultation when no physician is onsite
- EMR: Epic
