Electronic Assembly Technician
Our client is seeking an experienced Electronic Assembly Technician to build, inspect, test, and troubleshoot electronic assemblies used in advanced research devices. This role is highly hands-on and requires strong soldering skills, experience reading schematics, and the ability to work independently in a production and laboratory environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble circuit boards, electronic components, and product systems
- Perform SMT and through-hole soldering
- Conduct inspections, testing, troubleshooting, and rework
- Read schematics, assembly drawings, and BOMs
- Support prototype builds and work directly with engineers
- Use testing equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes
- Follow ESD and quality procedures
- Help package and prepare finished products for shipment
Requirements:
- 8+ years of electronic assembly experience
- Strong SMT and through-hole soldering experience
- Ability to read schematics, assembly drawings, and BOMs
- Experience with electronic testing equipment
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Strong attention to detail
Highly Preferred:
- IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, or NASA certifications
- Experience building low-volume, high-complexity electronic instrumentation
- Experience working in ESD-safe, laboratory, or cleanroom environments
