BHS Girls Swim & Dive Assistant Coach – (SY26-27) Brookline Public Schools – Brookline High School, Brookline, Massachusetts Job Details Job ID: 5785185 Application Deadline: Aug 24, 2026 5:00 PM (Eastern Standard Time) Posted: Jun 16, 2026 4:00 AM (UTC) Starting Date: Immediately Job Description Position Overview The Girls Swim & Dive Assistant Coach for the fall season interscholastic athletic program will be responsible for planning and direct supervision of daily team activities. This includes in-season as well as out-of-season contact, which must be within MIAA and BHS policies. This position reports to the Director of Athletics and the head coach of the program. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Pre-Season: Complete all necessary HR paperwork/training Assist in monitoring registration and clearance Check equipment inventory and make any requests to the AD Check uniform inventory Request transportation through the Athletic Dept Read athletic handbook and ask the AD for any clarification of policies Plan and attend "meet the coaches" night for families Review website for any changes In Season: Set up time with Equipment Manager to distribute uniforms/equipment Confirm eligibility of students Plan practice sessions accordingly and communicate schedule at least 2 weeks in advance Coordinate with Athletic Trainer for any athlete injuries and return to play Ride bus to and from away contests – possibly drive school van Communicate schedule and any announcements with families via weekly email update Assist with any scheduling changes and communication of them to players/families Keep attendance daily Communicate any issues with the head coach and AD Post-Season: Set up time with Equipment Manager to collect uniforms in full Have students complete athletic department survey Notify the Administrative Assistant if any student did not return any uniform or equipment Confirm final roster and wellness credit eligibility Hold end of season meeting with head coach Hold closeout meetings with each student Make recommendations to AD on equipment needs for following year Qualifications – Required Knowledge of MIAA rules and policies Concussion awareness training certification CPR/AED certification Current authorization to work in the United States by the first day of employment Qualifications – Preferred High School coaching experience or equivalent Employee Vaccination and Health Requirements All employees must be vaccinated and maintain full vaccination as a condition of employment, unless they receive approval for a documented medical or religious exemption in accordance with relevant state and/or federal law.
