Role Description:


The Eberhard Manufacturing team is seeking a Material Handler B for our facility in Strongsville, OH. This is a 1st shift full-time position. The Material Handler B will be responsible for job duties in the receiving department.

Core Responsibilities:


• Moves material by hand, hand truck, dolly or industrial truck.

• Loads / unloads materials onto / from pallets, trays, racks, shelves or steel hoppers by hand.

• Counts (hand, scale), weighs & records number of units of parts being moved or handled.

• Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales or other containers.

• Uses PC to make transactions, issue parts, adjust piece counts and check inventory levels.

• Uses Bar Code Reader to verify Part Numbers and Serial Numbers.

• Checks in receivables for accuracy (100 pcs or less hand count, verify all other counts by scale).

• Unpacks skids received in shipments.

• Repacks skids for proper inventory and storage of parts in warehouse.

• Operates tow motor to move barrels or big boxes of parts to dumper.

• Dumper Machine distributes small parts into hoppers for storage in the Triax system.

• Stages skids of manufactured parts for shipment.

• Lifts objects by hand using shovel or hoist, cleans work area, machines and equipment using brooms, rags and cleans.

• Shovels loose materials, such as metal and plastic parts, into steel containers, wheel

• barrows, scrap containers or barrels.

• Opens and seals crates, boxes, cartons and other containers using hammers, crowbars, cutting tools, hand tools and tape.

Minimum Experience, Education, Skills, and Qualifications:


• Must be able to operate pallet jack, load or unload Industrial lift truck, operate lift truck.

• Able to pull parts for kits and sample orders.

• Must be able to cycle count.

• Basic computer skills are a plus.

• Use PC to locate parts in Triax Auto Storage Retrieval system.

• Operate Triax ASR.

• Attention to detail is essential to this position.

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

• Must be comfortable using ladder/mobile work platforms, 6-8 feet.

• Must be open to the possibility of overtime.

• Fill out Plating Tickets.

• Understanding Routings.

• Will be required to use Visual Manufacturing and e-mail.

• Familiarity with spread-sheets is a plus.

• A high school education or equivalent is required.

Salary Description


$25.22/hr.
