Directional Drill Foreman

Job Overview This position is for a directional drill foreman with a minimum of 6 years of underground experience operating a directional drill with at least 2 years of experience managing a 4-person crew. Responsibilities Work with construction manager for in-field project set up. Lead and direct 4-person crew to safely complete projects. Complete legible bore logs and field sketches. Select and implement appropriate maintenance of traffic signage and follow safety precautions. Identify potential safety hazards, create a corrective action plan when hazards are recognized. Administer monthly safety meetings. Read and interpret plans and specifications. Understand as-built drawings and roadway plans. Possess leadership and mentoring skills. Perform routine equipment maintenance tasks. Have mechanical aptitude. Experience placing underground cable (plus). Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum 6 years of relevant work experience. High school Diploma/GED. Valid Driver’s License. Ability to maintain required certifications. Pre-employment drug screening and background investigation are a condition of employment. A motor vehicle check may be required based upon position.
