Positions are available at several schools, including Claymont Elementary, Harlan Elementary, Maple Lane Elementary, Mount Pleasant High School, and P.S. duPont Middle School. The contract runs from August 25, 2026, through June 8, 2027, with a consistent Monday to Friday schedule totaling 35 hours per week.

Key Qualifications:

• Current Delaware Special Education Teacher license (required for consideration)
• Previous experience in special education within school settings is preferred
• Strong ability to develop and adapt individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Effective classroom management and communication skills
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning atmosphere

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, differentiated instruction to students with varying needs
• Obtain and analyze assessment data to guide teaching strategies and IEP modifications
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to maximize student success
• Manage caseloads effectively while maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations
• Document student progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development as required
