Quality Engineer
Camarillo, CA

Summary:

The Quality Engineer will act as a liaison between company and customer by providing manufacturing and engineering support to resolve product quality issues, and help correct or suggest improvements to the manufacturing processes while using 8D corrective action methodology. They will also support the Quality Management System to ensure compliance with current ISO standards including internal audits, maintaining procedures, and monitoring risk matrix.

Qualifications:

• BS in Engineering or equivalent
• 3+ years of industrial experience, preferably in high volume manufacturing, automation and quality principles.
• Demonstrated ability to handle and maintain multiple projects at once, while responding quickly and decisively to production support requests.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards such as ISO9001, IPC-600, IPC-610, and J-STD-001

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement quality standards.
• Monitor and analyze quality performance.
• Develop corrective actions, solutions, and improvements to product.
• Investigate and problem solve product or production issues.
• Participate in continuous improvement team.
• Perform or participate in company audits.
• Provide IPC training/refereeing.
• Maintain control of records, non-conforming materials, and calibration schedule.
• Support safety committee activities.
• Collaborate with colleagues, suppliers, customers, and management.
