Proposal Coordinator

The Midtown Group is urgently recruiting a Proposal Coordinator for the Bids and Proposals team of an award winning EdTech client. Our client's proposal team leads, plans, and oversees the timely development and submission of high-quality proposals. These proposals respond to state departments of education Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to design and administer student assessments. While this role is primarily remote, applicants must live close to Arlington, VA, for occasional onsite visits to the headquarters office for final proposal submissions. This is an urgent temporary to fulltime role that offers a junior proposal professional the chance to join a fantastic team and work with an organization that prides itself on professionally developing employees. Key Responsibilities Bid Identification: Find relevant bids using internal and external procurement sites and systems that match our mission. Planning & Scheduling: Build production schedules, compliance matrices, and requirement outlines, focusing on technical and business volumes. Team Leadership: Guide the proposal team from kick-off to award, assigning roles and tracking progress. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with cross-business teams and pricing leads. Day-to-Day Operations: Supervise daily production activities under the direction of the Proposal Director, scheduling resources for final delivery. Problem Solving: Spot bottlenecks, identify barriers, and execute corrective action plans to keep projects on track. Content Contribution: Draft proposal sections as directed by the Proposal Director or Proposal Lead. Quality Control: Review submissions in-depth to ensure 100% compliance with RFP instructions. Final Delivery: Oversee the ultimate production and submission of completed proposals. Job Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business/Marketing, Public Administration, Social Science, or a related field. Experience: 3+ years of professional proposal-related experience. Core Skills Strong research and analytical capabilities. High attention to detail, flexibility, and initiative. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient technology and computer skills. Ability to work well both independently and in team environments. Exceptional time management and organizational skills. Process Knowledge Experience following standardized proposal development procedures and adapting them to specific project needs.
