Description

• Conduct evaluations for clients spanning pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric age groups utilizing both recognized assessments and observational insights.
• Create individualized therapy plans that cater to immediate goals while laying the groundwork for ongoing communication, cognitive, or swallowing progress.
• Conduct tailored speech therapy sessions focusing on all aspects of communication, including language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.
• Engage in collaborative efforts with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, family members, and caregivers to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
• Educate patients and their families to enhance rehabilitation efforts beyond the clinic setting.
• Participate in occasional inpatient assessments and interventions, ensuring a seamless patient care experience throughout the recovery process.
• Uphold precise and timely documentation in compliance with the necessary state regulations, federal guidelines, and organizational protocols.
• Keep current with the latest developments in the field through ongoing training and professional networking.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology obtained from an accredited program.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not fully ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification should be completed within 30 days of employment.
