Production Supervisor - Metal Products Manufacturing

Overview Supervises shop employees in a manufacturing and assembly environment: plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions. Typical staff size is 18-24. Major Duties and Responsibilities Role Priorities: Employee Relations Quality, Productivity and Cost Improvement Performance Measurement Additional duties as assigned Reporting to this position are: Hourly employees within the department Organizational Relationships Works in conjunction with Customer Service Department, Engineering, and production employees Experience and/or Educational Requirements Role Qualifications: Must be able to improve working conditions (safety, quality, productivity, cost) and increase subordinates\' skills and capabilities. Must prepare activity plans and discuss them with manager. Must be able to assist Production Manager in improving a system of production control, standard operating procedure, safety, quality control, and performance management. 16. Understand basic metal fabrication development layouts, assembly components, hardware attachments, welding symbols and procedures, and machining practices.
17. Ensure Compliance with “Company Policies and Procedures”.
18. 3+ years experience in a fabrication/manufacturing environment.
19. 5+ years of management experience
20. Must be bilingual (English and Spanish)
