Details Med/Surg Tele unit within an acute care hospital Patient ratios of 1:5-6 Day shift, 3x12 hours, 6:45a-7:15p Required to work every other weekend No on-call responsibilities Floating required within scope to like units or sister facilities Facility may call off up to 1 shift per 2 weeks Requirements Active SC RN license or compact license required in hand prior to start Minimum 2 years of RN experience required BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA only) NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred Tele competency required Previous charge experience preferred Community hospital experience preferred Epic EMR experience preferred SSN and driver's license required for consideration Additional Information Level III Trauma acute care facility with 286 staffed beds Royal blue scrubs required May be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June through November, peak in August-September) First-time travelers may be considered depending on position needs Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for 1 year before returning as a traveler Candidates residing within 60 miles are considered local and may be offered a reduced rate Non-local candidates are prioritized over local candidates Block scheduling may be requested but is not guaranteed All RTO must be submitted at time of application for approval based on facility needs American Traveler Job ID P-750863.
