Details Work in the Emergency Department of an acute care hospital with 286 staffed beds General ER treating combined adult/pediatric patients Patient ratios based on acuity Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts (7p-7a) Required to work every other weekend Floating required within scope to meet facility and department needs No on-call requirements Uses Epic EMR Requirements Active SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license Current AHA certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS CPI and TNCC certifications preferred Minimum 2 years of ER nursing experience required Epic charting experience required Community hospital experience preferred Skills in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and starting/maintaining IVs Experience with cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation/management Experience with isolation precautions/PPE and triage Experience treating shock/trauma and orthopedic trauma patients Valid driver's license and SSN required for consideration Additional Information Provide emergency care to a combined adult and pediatric patient population Facility is a STEMI and Stroke certified facility Royal blue scrubs required Must reside outside a 60-mile radius to qualify for the standard travel rate; local candidates considered on a case-by-case basis at a reduced rate First-time travelers accepted, provided they have prior emergency room experience Previous perm or PRN staff must be separated from the health system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler All requested time off must be submitted and approved prior to confirming the assignment Employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June through November) American Traveler Job ID P-731084.
