This position involves covering Hematology/Oncology services starting with orientation on 5/25 (8am-4pm), followed by ongoing assignments from 5/26 to 6/6 (8am-8am). The schedule typically requires two consecutive weeks per month, with the preferred working hours from 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. The role includes occasional night and weekend call, currently 1:2, which can be performed via phone. The provider team consists of 4 members—1 physician and 3 APPs—within an employed practice. The practice is primarily outpatient (95%) with a small inpatient component (5%). The environment is collegial and supportive, with a target patient load of 10-15 patients daily. Call duties are light, with minimal calls accepted. The practice uses EMR—ONCO EMR—and features a genetic counselor onsite, weekly tumor board meetings, a tumor registry with 2 CTRs, and a dedicated research department. The shared office environment includes staff such as RNs, navigators specializing in breast, colon, and lung cancer, pharmacists, a lab tech, office manager, clinical director, social worker, financial counselors, clerical staff, and a program director. The practice holds several accreditations, including ACOS CoC, NAPBC, and ACR ROPA. Provider work hours are from 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday, with patient visits typically scheduled as 60-minute new consults and 30-minute follow-ups. Rounding involves inpatient consultations by APPs, with no inductions performed on-site.
