Step into a rewarding role supporting middle school students with autism in a dynamic and caring educational environment. This contract position runs through June 10, 2027, with a consistent weekday schedule from 7:15am to 2:45pm (35 hours per week, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch). You'll play a vital part in a dedicated team focused on delivering exceptional special education services and making a genuine impact in students’ lives.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate with Special Education endorsement for middle school level
• Experience designing and implementing IEPs for students with autism considered a plus
• Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to adapt to students’ diverse learning needs
• Collaborative approach to working with student support staff, school psychologists, and families
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• A passion for fostering positivity, growth, and independence in students

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver specialized instruction aligned with IEP goals for a middle school autistic support classroom (student caseload to be determined)
• Adapt curriculum and modify teaching strategies to accommodate individual learning styles and needs
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including other educators and related service providers
• Track, monitor, and report student progress, maintaining detailed records and participating in regular IEP meetings
• Help promote a supportive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student confidence and success
