About the Role

A healthcare organization is growing its business development team and looking for an energetic, relationship-driven professional to take on a hunter-style referral partnerships role. This person will spend most of their time in the field, building new referral relationships with legal and healthcare professionals who work with injury-related cases. Once a relationship is established, this person partners with internal teams to support the handoff while continuing to pursue new business opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Prospect, cold call, and meet face-to-face with potential referral partners on a regular basis
• Build and grow relationships with attorneys, law firms, case managers, and other relevant referral sources
• Pinpoint decision-makers and key influencers within target organizations
• Create new business opportunities using a mix of assigned leads and self-sourced prospecting
• Clearly explain the organization's clinical services and patient support offerings to prospective partners
• Guide prospects through the full sales cycle, converting qualified leads into ongoing referral relationships
• Keep pipeline and activity records up to date in a CRM system
• Track territory trends and cultivate long-term relationships within the assigned market

Minimum Qualifications

• 1 to 5+ years of experience in business development, outside sales, account management, or a comparable field
• Strong hunter mentality with a demonstrated ability to prospect and generate new opportunities from scratch
• Comfortable engaging with sophisticated professionals and confident personalities
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and follow-up abilities
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a field-based setting
• Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in healthcare, medical sales, personal injury, legal services, or another relationship-driven professional field
• Experience using a CRM platform (such as Salesforce or a similar system)
• Prior experience in one of the following areas is a strong fit: personal injury law or plaintiff-side legal services, medical device or pharmaceutical sales, healthcare sales, personal injury-focused healthcare, attorney relations or legal business development, or field-based B2B sales
