Overview Summit Credit Union, voted number one employer by WSJ and top ten by Madison Magazine, has an exciting opportunity to join our mortgage team as a Mortgage Loan Officer - Waukesha Market. The MLO is responsible for providing personal, customized financial services to potential members and members of the credit union. The role supports Summit Credit Union’s mission and vision by acting as a trusted financial advisor, recommending solutions to improve the financial situation of members. It originates investment-quality loans while meeting the needs of the entire membership, builds trustworthy relationships with branch staff and lending processors, and plans and participates in real estate business development activities of the credit union. Responsibilities Provide personalized financial services to potential and existing members. Recommend solutions to improve members’ financial situations. Originate investment-quality loans while meeting membership needs. Build trustworthy relationships with branch staff and lending processors. Plan and participate in real estate business development activities. Qualifications Equivalent of an associate degree in finance or a related field. Minimum of five years mortgage lending experience in a retail financial environment. Customer-focused with sales experience. Experience with loan products including 1st and 2nd mortgages, WHEDA, construction loans and loan processing. Excellent listening, interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to attain NMLS.
