Project Coordinator

Job Summary

We are seeking a Project Coordinator for a direct hire opportunity in Asheville, NC, supporting active construction projects in a hands-on coordination role. This position works closely with the Project Manager to keep construction activity organized, documented, and moving forward across office teams, field teams, subcontractors, inspectors, and homeowners.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist the Project Manager with day-to-day coordination of assigned construction projects.
- Schedule subcontractors, crews, project milestones, homeowner access, and related project activities.
- Support permitting, permit tracking, inspection requests, and required documentation gathering.
- Coordinate with homeowners regarding scheduling, project status, access needs, and follow-up items.
- Prepare and process invoicing, warranty claims, cost estimate support, and project documentation.
- Maintain builder files, program documentation, and systems of record for project managers and superintendents.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $55,000 to $65,000 per year.
- Direct hire opportunity.
- Location: Asheville, NC.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Coordinate construction project schedules, subcontractor activity, and project milestones.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, permit tracking, inspection support, and builder files.
- Support invoicing, cost estimate preparation, warranty tracking, and homeowner communication.
- Keep project records current across internal systems and program management platforms.

- Two or more years of experience coordinating construction, restoration, or grant-funded projects.
- Strong Excel skills and the ability to manage documents accurately and consistently.
- Experience supporting permitting, inspections, subcontractor coordination, and project documentation.
- Clear written communication skills and comfort working directly with homeowners and field teams.
- Strong organization, follow-through, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work effectively between office staff, project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and homeowners.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with construction management software such as Procore, RedTeam, or a similar platform.
- Local to the Asheville, NC region or assigned project area.
- Familiarity with federal program documentation standards.
- Experience building and maintaining project files for superintendents or field construction teams.
