The candidate must be team oriented with experience in affordable housing, residential property management. The candidate must excel in providing superior customer service to residents. Position offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits.Schedule & CompensationFull-Time: 40 hours per week Schedule: Monday - Friday Pay Rate: $19.00 - $21.63 per hourEssential Job Functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Communicates all problems and special cases and makes recommendations to the Property Manager and the Property Supervisor.Processes re-certifications (i.e., sets up interviews, assist with filling out forms, follows up with processing information, performs rent calculations, prepares leases).Inspects site grounds and common hallways on a regular basis.Monitors make-ready status of vacant apartments.Conducts housekeeping home visits, and marketing outreach to local agencies and businesses.Acts as a liaison and advocate on behalf of the residents to public and private agencies.Carries out rent collection program and follow-up procedures for delinquent rent and evictions in accordance with approved HHDC policies.Minimum QualificationsHigh school diploma (minimum); 2-year or 4-year degree a plus.Proficient with Microsoft Office products and property management software.Affordable housing leasing experience required (2-year minimum).Must have or be able to obtain State of Illinois AMP Leasing Certificate.Must have experience working with the Tax Credit program/affordable housing.Good communication skills.Fluency in written and spoken English/Spanish required.Confident, positive attitude and manner.Able to interact effectively with wide range of people.
