Senior Store Associate

Job Title

Assist customers in selecting appropriate products, troubleshooting customer concerns, caring for store animals, merchandising and store maintenance. It is the primary point of contact for customers.

Responsibilities

• Assisting customers with purchasing decisions
• Help customers troubleshoot problems with their pets
• Assist customers with product returns and help resolve customer issues
• Stock and merchandise incoming products
• Assist with animal care for store animals and adoption program animals
• Performing daily store cleaning procedures
• Assist Store Associates in the performance of their duties
• Operate cash register and check out customers
• Prepare customer orders for delivery when necessary
• Perform store opening and closing procedures including cash counts and checklist items

Qualifications

• 2 years retail experience preferred
• Must have excellent communication skills
• Strong customer service orientation
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Must be able to work independently and be well organized
• Computer literate with good basic math skills
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
