THE ROLE: Bring your expertise in finance and IT administration to this unique role. The Enterprise Applications group of Lutheran Community Services is seeking a Financial Systems Administrator to manage a variety of financial systems as well and help to facilitate data access to data contained in those systems though PowerBI. This person will work closely with IT, Finance and other functional teams to design, optimize and maintain financial systems and data access that will drive efficient and effective integration and access to data. Acting as the IT Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all financial data, this person will be responsible to collaborate with various internal and external entities, help identify and translate functional requirements from stakeholders into IT system functions. This person will also work closely with the Data Engineer in order to help identify data within these systems and to create dashboards and other data presentations within PowerBI to help facilitate useful, up to date, and self-service access to this data. Strong attention to detail and the ability to develop processes and workflows that take into a wider picture is key to this person's success. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Be an active participant of the Agency's IT Team by participating in meetings and conference calls, contributing to projects, and freely sharing information.
• Manage the integration and implementation of financial technologies and systems workflow.
• Implement controls to proactively monitor, troubleshoot, and mitigate vulnerabilities in our financial applications and infrastructure, ensuring the integrity and availability for end users.
• Serve as the primary contact for the financial system and integration issues, questions, and resolution.
• Design, implement and maintain configurations and customizations of financial systems to meet the organization's business needs.
• Perform regular data audits, check error logs, manage events, and work with stakeholders to optimize data model as appropriate.
• Manage all upgrades and patches of the financial platform.
• Coordinate releases and testing for all financial system updates.
• Write and maintain comprehensive technical documentation related to our financial systems.
• Utilize best practices to ensure system availability, scalability, performance, and security.
• Identify opportunities for financial improvements within current applications and collaborate with users to ensure systems are appropriately leveraged to streamline processes and drive efficiencies.
• Model and encourage direct, professional communication among staff members and facilitate development of a positive staff support network.
• Demonstrate awareness and sensitivity of our client services with special recognition of the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of the populations we serve.
• Lead efforts in working with vendors, implementation partners, and contractors on financial activities.
• Keep up to date with current financial technologies and trends, evaluate alternative solutions, and make recommendations to management.
• Provide internal, on-going system/technical support to end users, including training and maintaining proper system access for all roles.
• Writing Data Queries and building dashboards and interactive reports within PowerBI.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Strong understanding of systems administration and management.
• Strong working knowledge of financial data types and interactions
• In-depth knowledge of database software and data structures and data management best practices
• Working knowledge and experience working with business intelligence tools (Tableau, PowerBI), report development tools
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Education and/or Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in financial system administration, implementation, or support. Or, a combination of experience/education may substitute as follows:

3 years of relevant experience required with 2 year degree. Or, 2 years of relevant experience required with 4 year degree.
