Accounting Specialist

Salary: USD28 - USD32 per hour We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring transactions are processed in a timely manner. Review invoices for accuracy and ensure proper coding and documentation. Prepare and issue payments to vendors according to established schedules. Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts. Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities. Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation. Monitor outstanding customer balances and follow up on overdue accounts. Prepare journal entries and assist with account reconciliations. Support payroll processing and related recordkeeping as needed. Generate routine financial reports and assist with management reporting. Respond to inquiries from vendors, customers, and internal departments regarding accounting matters. Assist with audits by gathering requested documentation and information. Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and applicable regulations. Qualifications Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or related experience. Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices. Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information. Preferred Skills Experience with ERP or accounting systems such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar platforms. Proficiency in Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
