RN - Interventional Radiology (IR)

Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking dedicated Registered Nurses to join our fast-paced pre/post interventional radiology department at a Level 1 trauma center. This position provides an exciting opportunity for nurses interested in working within a high-energy environment focused on Diagnostic Imaging care for both inpatient and outpatient populations across the lifespan.

Schedule:

• 4 ten-hour night shifts, Monday to Thursday
• No weekends or on-call responsibilities

Role Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients for procedures and provide post-procedural recovery and overnight observation care.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care.
• Care for patients undergoing CT scans, MRIs, Nuclear Medicine scans, X-rays, and ultrasounds.
• Monitor and support patients boarding overnight for pre or post procedure care.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• At least 2 years of Medical-Surgical experience.
• Experience in telemetry is required.
• New York RN license is required.

Certifications:

• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in GI post-procedural care is preferred but not necessary.
• Good communication skills and the ability to think critically are essential for this position.
• A team-oriented, enthusiastic, flexible, and organized approach is highly valued.
