Job Description
Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (RN)

We have an exciting opportunity for an Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (RN) to work in a fast-paced and state-of-the-art environment, providing specialized patient care to adult inpatients and outpatients undergoing various interventional radiology procedures, including biopsies, embolizations, ablations, angiography, and drain placements.

Position Overview

Full-time role requiring 40 hours per week with shifts consisting of 4 ten-hour days.
Responsibilities include patient preparation, intra-procedure monitoring, and post-procedure recovery, encompassing PACU and extended stay (23-hour) scenarios.
Play an essential role as part of the critical embolization response team for trauma patients.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and educate patients for interventional radiology procedures.
Monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition during procedures.
Provide post-procedure care and recovery support to patients.
Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
Experience with telemetry is mandatory.
Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in interventional radiology.
Must hold a valid New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license.

Additional requirements:

Must wear hospital-issued scrub pants and tops, along with other necessary infection prevention measures in procedural areas.
