About the Position
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiac Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a large urban hospital License: State nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS required; CPI and NIH preferred Must-Have: 2 years of prior experience Drip management experience Epic charting experience Description: Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a specialty medical/surgical unit. This fast-paced unit provides growth in professional knowledge and expertise in cardiovascular patient care. Staff will care for specialty patients such as stable heart and lung transplants and Ventricular Assist Devices. Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:5 during the day and 1:6 at night, with rare instances of 1:7 at night. Traveling nurses should be prepared to float frequently to meet staffing needs. Must have proven experience in managing cardiac drips and interpreting dysrhythmias. All staff are expected to engage in team collaborations that include care techs, transport teams, and LPNs as required. Weekend shifts are required: 4 out of 8 possible weekend shifts in a 4-week period. Travelers are required to work 2 out of 3 major holidays. This facility is 100% nicotine-free. RTO requests must be submitted with the application and are subject to approval. Proof of licensure must be provided.
