Senior Accounting Consultant

A respected advisory firm is hiring experienced accounting professionals for project-based consulting roles in the Chicago area. Base pay range $95,000.00/yr - $135,000.00/yr This is a full-time, salaried position with competitive base compensation + other incentives. This is not a contract role. Responsibilities Support clients through a variety of strategic finance and technical accounting projects Contribute to or lead initiatives such as: Fund accounting General ledger close and process improvement FP&A, budgeting, and forecasting support Technical accounting (e.g., ASC 606, ASC 842, SEC reporting) IPO readiness and public company transformation M&A preparation and integration Adapt quickly to new systems, tools, and team dynamics Qualifications 3+ years of total experience in external audit, advisory, corporate accounting, and/or corporate finance 2+ years of experience in public accounting required CPA licensed or in process preferred Strong technical accounting knowledge and business acumen Experience with publicly traded companies/clients Comfortable in fast-paced, client-facing roles Excellent communication and adaptability in new environments Competitive compensation structure No external audit work — exclusive advisory cross accounting and finance functions Opportunity to work with well-known, innovative companies Variety, visibility, and challenge without the burnout of busy season Career-building experience in a high-caliber consulting environment Supportive team culture with real-world impact Ready to explore something beyond audit or typical corporate accounting?
