HR Coordinator: Launch Your HR Career in Auto Retail

As a Human Resources Coordinator at Generation Auto Group, you will support the day-to-day operations of the HR department across multiple dealership locations. This is an entry-level position designed for someone looking to start a career in Human Resources while gaining hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced automotive environment. You will play a key role in supporting onboarding, employee records, payroll processes, and general HR operations. Your work directly impacts the employee experience by ensuring processes are handled accurately, efficiently, and with a high level of professionalism. This role offers the opportunity to learn the full employee lifecycle, gain experience with HR systems and payroll, and grow within a rapidly expanding organization. What You’ll Do Assist with onboarding and offboarding tasks (new hire onboarding, employee onboarding) Help process new hires, terminations, and employee updates (HR administration, employee lifecycle) Maintain employee records and ensure all documentation is up to date (HRIS, employee files) Deliver a high level of customer service to employees, treating all individuals with professionalism, respect, and urgency Respond to employee questions related to payroll, time off, and HR processes in a positive, solution‑oriented manner Support benefits administration including enrollments and employee updates Assist with job postings, resume screening, and interview coordination (recruiting support) Help coordinate background checks, employment verifications, and pre‑employment requirements Travel to NY and NJ dealerships for onsite visits Provide general administrative support to the HR department Support timecard tracking, review, and corrections in Paycom (timekeeping, payroll support) Assist with payroll data entry and ensure employee information is accurate in the system (payroll processing support) What We’re Looking For 1–2 years of experience in Human Resources Familiarity with HRIS or payroll systems (Paycom experience a plus) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Comfortable working with data and systems Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to handle confidential information appropriately Punctual, reliable, and self‑motivated Professional appearance and demeanor Willingness to learn and grow in a fast‑paced environment What We’ll Give You Paid Time Off Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Voluntary Life, Accident & Critical Illness Insurance 401(k) with Employer Match Paid Holidays Employee Vehicle Purchase Program Perks & Discount Program Monthly Employee Celebrations Who We Are Generation Auto Group is a family‑owned and operated dealership group proudly serving our communities for over 30 years.
