In this position, you will be responsible for processing incoming payments and correcting payment issues with banks and insurance carriers. This position will need to be effective at communicating with banks, clients, attorneys and patients to resolve depositing issues.Essential qualifications and responsibilities:Processing incoming payments from insurance carriers.Sorting daily incoming mail and processing to appropriate lockboxesCalling insurance carriers to verify if checks are cashed and if not asking to have reissuedPerform other special projects as assignedFamiliar with bank processes, such as non-sufficient funds and international checks is a plusAbility to work within deadlines and in high volume conditionsAbility to multi-task and deal with change constructivelyAbility to follow through, identify roadblocks and provide resolution scenariosMust be detail oriented, be able to work independently, and manage multiple projectsProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Adobe Acrobat productsProficient in maneuvering in insurance carrier websitesExcellent verbal and written communication skills requiredPleasant phone manner when communicating with outside resources and patientsMedical billing office and payment posting knowledge is preferredHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredAt Zotec, you will enjoy a network of highly experienced professionals in an environment where you can operate with autonomy yet have the resources and backing of other professionals in a similar role.
