Megastar Advisors is looking for an experienced Senior Paid Media Strategist who can step in and take ownership of our paid social strategy from day one.

This is not an entry-level role, and it is not an order-taker position. We need someone who has already managed successful paid campaigns, understands what drives performance, and knows how to turn data into strategy.

You won't simply be handed ads to launch. We want you looking at the numbers, identifying opportunities, developing new ideas, determining what we should test next, and shaping the creative strategy behind our campaigns. When a test needs a new static ad or a video cut and the creative team is booked, we expect you to make it happen yourself.

If you're someone who asks "Why did this work, and what should we do next?" rather than waiting for someone to give you the next task, we want to talk to you.

What You'll Do

Strategy and media buying

• Own the strategy, execution, and optimization of paid advertising campaigns, with a strong emphasis on Meta/Facebook. Google Ads (Search, YouTube) and LinkedIn are secondary channels you should be comfortable running.
• Manage campaign structure, audiences, targeting, budgets, bidding, testing, and optimization.
• Analyze CPL/CPA, conversion rates, CTR, CPM, ROAS, lead quality, and other performance metrics.
• Identify opportunities to scale successful campaigns and diagnose underperforming ones.
• Develop structured testing strategies across creative, messaging, audiences, offers, landing pages, and campaign structures.
• Stay ahead of Meta changes, AI, automation, emerging platforms, and new performance-marketing opportunities.

Creative

• Use campaign performance to determine what creative we should develop and test next.
• Identify winning hooks, messaging, angles, offers, imagery, and video concepts.
• Produce static ad creative yourself when speed matters: build variations, resize for placements, swap headlines and hooks, and get new tests live without waiting on a design queue.
• Source and direct video: brief our video producer, find UGC creators and stock footage, pull clips from webinars and recordings, and turn raw footage into ad-ready cuts (or manage an editor who does).
• Write and refine ad copy, and give our copywriter clear direction on what to write next and why.
• Work directly with our designer, video producer, copywriter, and marketing team to turn strategy into campaigns.

Landing pages and the funnel

• Monitor the entire lead-generation funnel, not just ad performance, to improve both lead volume and lead quality.
• Analyze landing pages the way you analyze ads: message match between ad and page, page structure, form friction, page speed, mobile experience, and where visitors drop off.
• Use heatmaps, session recordings, and analytics (Microsoft Clarity, Hotjar, GA4) to spot patterns in how visitors behave and turn those patterns into page tests.
• Recommend and prioritize landing page changes, write the brief, and measure the result.
• Own tracking accuracy: pixels, conversion API, UTMs, and CRM attribution, so the numbers we make decisions on are right.

Continuous improvement

• Keep a running test log and a documented playbook of what works, what doesn't, and why.
• Review your own results critically and refine your process every month, not just the campaigns.
• Bring at least one new idea, tool, or approach to the table on a regular basis and be ready to defend it with data.

What We're Looking For

We need someone who is experienced and ready to hit the ground running.

You should have:

• Significant hands-on experience managing Meta/Facebook paid advertising.
• A proven track record of personally managing and optimizing meaningful advertising budgets.
• Demonstrated results in lead generation, customer acquisition, or performance marketing.
• Strong knowledge of campaign strategy, audience targeting, creative testing, conversion funnels, and landing pages.
• The ability to analyze performance and independently determine what needs to change.
• A strong understanding of both the analytical and creative sides of paid media.
• Working creative skills. You can build a static ad in Canva, Figma, or Photoshop, use AI image and video tools, and do basic video editing (CapCut, Premiere, or similar). You don't need to be a designer, but you can't be stuck when one isn't available.
• Experience sourcing creative: UGC creators, stock, freelance editors, and repurposing existing footage.
• Landing page and CRO experience. You've used heatmaps and session recordings, you can spot a broken funnel, and you've run page tests that moved conversion rate.
• Experience developing testing strategies, not simply executing someone else's.
• The confidence to bring recommendations, challenge assumptions, and support your position with data.
• A proactive mindset. We want someone who sees opportunities and acts on them without waiting to be told what to do.
• Experience beyond paid media buying. Email and nurture sequences, webinars and events, SEO or content, CRM and marketing automation (HubSpot or similar), and reporting. Our leads don't stop at the form submit, and neither should your thinking.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services, insurance, annuities, investments, lead generation, or another highly competitive performance-marketing environment.
• Google Ads and YouTube campaign experience.
• Experience marketing to an older (55+) audience.
• Familiarity with AI tools for creative production, copy, and analysis.

The Person We're Looking For

You're a strategist first, but you're not above doing the work.

You can look at an underperforming campaign and start diagnosing why. You can look at a winning campaign and immediately begin thinking about how to scale it or turn it into the next successful concept. You can look at a landing page and tell us where it's losing people, and why.

You're equally comfortable digging into performance data, sitting down with Creative to brainstorm a new hook, or opening Canva at 4pm to get a new variation live before tomorrow's spend.

You don't wait for permission to improve something. If a process is slow, you fix it. If a report doesn't answer the question, you build a better one.

Most importantly, you bring ideas to the table.
