United Veterans Beacon House (UVBH) is seeking an Assistant Controller to support the Controller in overseeing accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, and supervision of department staff. Minimum 6 years of accounting experience. At least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role. Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel. Experience in the not-for-profit sector is preferred. Key Responsibilities Assist the Controller in overseeing daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end and year-end close processes. Oversee the day-to-day management of accounting operations, including general ledger, A/P, A/R and payroll support. Supervise, support, and develop accounting department staff to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks. Assist in the preparation of financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses for leadership review. Coordinate with auditors during annual audits and ensure timely completion of audit requests and deliverables. Support implementation and improvement of accounting systems, processes, and procedures.
