Job Title: Medical Assistant

Mid-City Medical Campus is looking for a medical assistant to join their team to support the back office! MA diploma is required. This is an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and gain extensive back office experience! 1 YEAR OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!

• 1 YEAR OF BACK OFFICE EXPERIENCE

Job Description

• Perform high-volume phlebotomy, finger sticks, urine collection, and specimen processing
• Provide pre- and post-test, client-centered HIV counseling
• Conduct HIV/STD risk assessments and prevention education
• Administer IM/SQ injections per providers orders
• Take vitals, room patients, and prepare charts
• Maintain monthly equipment logs (Glucometer, Hemocue, refrigerators)
• Support linkage to HIV primary care for newly diagnosed or disengaged patients
• Support referral submission and tracking
• Assist with patient discharge and follow-up instructions
• Maintain accurate documentation per funder and Quality Management requirements

Work Site

• This is a fully on-site position in Los Angeles, CA.

Schedule

• Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (1-hour unpaid lunch).

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Los Angeles, CA 90036.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
